Shadows

We stand listening to the sounds of swallows and swans
the gentle sway of the trees and rustle of the leaves
through the waking moments of the shadowy world
I find myself in as we move around the shadowy creation
the morning calls I stand firm against the shadow world
The world at war as soldiers continue their daily duties
in a world covered in darkness casting a shadow on the light
We watch them casting shadows on all that is right
the darkness casting shadows on all that is bright
We slowly lose out to the darkness of the night
dark forces work behind the scenes as it engulfed our sight
The whispers in the night the horrors of our fields of vision
may be corrupted by what we all bear witness to
As we stand tall and in the brightness of the rightful ways of the light
